Work at home businesses, multi level marketing businesses and online direct sales or marketing businesses are everywhere these days. You can’t shop or surf the internet in this day and age without being bombarded by numerous ads and websites explaining how their compensation plan, scheme, structure, and product line is the one that will work. They explain how all others fail and theirs is the system that will put thousands of dollars in your pocket daily, with little or no effort on your part. When I first started looking into a home business I could do that would replace my corporate six figure income, and provide more flexibility and more quality time with my family I was bombarded by numerous friends and acquaintances that pitched their home business to me. Mary Kay, Arbonne, several other cosmetic or skin care businesses are very popular. The key to success they say is that their products are “consumable”. With a cosmetic home business, I’ll be able to generate numerous repeat customers as they’ll need replenishment month after month after month for the products I sell them. I remember one friend telling me how “certain” reps are earning “$22,000 per MONTH!” Now that sounds wonderful, who wouldn’t like to earn $22,000 per month with a home based business? Here are the problems with this. First, in order to generate $22,000 per month in commissions a rep at an average cosmetic MLM would have to generate over $700,000 in sales volume EACH month. At an average product price of $50 that means 14,000 sales each and every month. I’m sure there are at least a few cosmetic consultants that are able to drum up this volume of business every month, and are actually making these incredible sums each month, but I have a hard time believing this is a realistic income potential for the average work at home business owner. Another popular home business that is growing in popularity recently is the “passion business”. Passion party reps are popping up everywhere as people are less modest about their bedroom activities than in the past. They proclaim that “sex sells” and their business will make me a stay at home millionaire. Sex DOES “sell” as the separate porn industry can prove, but passion party home consultants also must rely primarily on warm marketing and “passion parties” to generate sales that average $100 per customer that actually purchases a product. Forgive my bluntness, but what do these passion consultants do when everyone they know OWNS a vibrator? Is repeat business really a viable possibility with this home business? These are just two specific examples, but the questions can be applied to many of the MLM businesses out there. Other home MLM businesses that are currently popular are weight loss products, and health care, vitamins, etc. These businesses undoubtedly face the same problems as noted above, unrealistic sales volumes are required for the distributor to generate any type of viable income large enough to replace a “normal” eight to five job. The key to true financial success in a home business, especially in the current global economy we are facing will consist of four things: a valuable product line that appeals to consumers and other home business entrepreneurs, a pricing structure that provides for high commissions without the need for thousands of individual sales per month, and a back office and support system that evens the marketing, selling and technological playing fields for the ambitious entrepreneur that isn’t necessarily a sales or tech guru. The fourth key ingredient to success is simply the home business entrepreneur himself. Many people forget this factor and expect to become millionaires completely on autopilot. Unless your last name is Trump, Gates or Rockefeller that’s not likely to happen. Any business takes work, the right online business, however, can provide a clear advantage to the serious entrepreneur willing to do their part. Just like brick and mortar businesses, online home businesses take an initial investment and they take hard work. A person new to the industry that is willing to put in a little effort can and will thrive in this business in this economy. One such opportunity that provides highly attractive products in the current economy, pays commissions ranging from $25 to over $8,000 per sale, and simply takes the right person willing to put in the right effort is here at http://www.Honest250Kincome.com . This company requires an extensive application process. The application process is meant to reduce the instances of turnover by weeding out the “tire kickers” and those who are not really willing to invest their time, effort, and a little money to gain the financial freedom they are looking for. |
